Carsonix Inc. at GTApreneurs: Real Conversations, Real Tech, Real Value

Carsonix Inc. at GTApreneurs: Real Conversations, Real Tech, Real Value

Carsonix Inc. had a fantastic time exhibiting at the recent GTApreneurs networking event organized by Tammy Defoe, President of GTApreneurs, held at Hazelton Manor in Vaughan. It is always a pleasure attending her events, and this one delivered an impressive turnout and strong business energy.

Jason Carson, Principal of Carsonix Inc., attended the event with Karen Gan, a hair and makeup artist in the Toronto film industry and the one responsible for getting him his first acting job. Being an exhibitor allowed Jason to connect with small and medium sized business owners and demonstrate the real world value of modern Managed IT. With over 200 attendees, the event offered a great mix of community, decision makers, and real conversations that matter to growing businesses.

Why Being an Exhibitor Made the Difference

Managed IT often makes the most sense when business owners can see it in action.

As an exhibitor, Jason showcased some of the core tools and capabilities Carsonix Inc. uses to support small and medium sized businesses and explained what a Managed Service Provider, or MSP, can do beyond basic troubleshooting.

Live Demos That Made the Value Clear

At the Carsonix Inc. booth, Jason provided a clear, visual snapshot of a modern managed environment.

He demonstrated:

  1. Ubiquiti networking equipment and a network map
Attendees could see how network visibility works and why it matters for performance, reliability, and security.
  2. RMM software
This helped explain proactive monitoring and how Carsonix keeps systems stable, reduces downtime, and resolves issues early.
  3. Security tools as part of a complete setup
The combination of network, device, and security visibility helped attendees understand how layered protection works in the real world.

The live setup turned technical terms into a practical business story. Instead of abstract acronyms, attendees saw clear proof of how an MSP supports smoother operations and stronger risk management.

A Real World IT Moment During the Event

A real time example of MSP value emerged during the event itself.

When Jason connected to the venue’s guest WiFi, a certificate error appeared. Other attendees experienced the same issue. While the WiFi still worked, the error suggested a configuration gap.

This led to a direct conversation with the venue owner, who recognized the Ubiquiti environment and discussed the network setup with Jason. The discussion highlighted a common reality for many businesses.

Strong equipment is important. Correct configuration and ongoing oversight are what make the environment secure, stable, and professional.

A Fun Bonus

The giveaways added a memorable highlight to the day.

Karen Gan won a pair of gold black onyx earrings through the business card draw.

Jason also contributed a one year MDR antivirus subscription as a prize to one lucky winner on behalf of Carsonix Inc., reinforcing the company’s commitment to proactive, security first IT for small and medium sized businesses.

Thank You, GTApreneurs

Carsonix Inc. extends a sincere thank you to Tammy Defoe and the GTApreneurs community for organizing another well executed, high impact event. The turnout, the organization, and the quality of conversations made this a valuable day.
